This week’s episode is a double dose of radness. You get not one but TWO interviews on the one show. Basically, they’re both short interviews around 20 – 25 minutes each so I put them both together and now you get the best of both worlds. Not a bad deal, if you ask me. Both of these guys are touring Australia with their respective bands so get on out and see their shows. First up is Denis ”Snake” Bélanger from VoiVod talks about the early years of VoiVod and Jello Biafra putting out their demo and also one of the most incredible gig line-ups I’d ever heard that totally blew me away and I had to nerd out on that with him and get the deal. Michale Graves dives in on his time with the Misfits, obviously, but also touring with Marky Ramone, working with Daniel Rey, plus more. I really hope you enjoy these quick chats.

This week’s guest is none other than Rookie Rochelle from the Ramones-worshipping punk rockers from Long Island, The Young Rochelles. This is a great chat that gets in to some serious Ramones nerdery bigtime and we put forward a poll for the listeners of the LGLRS. Yep, we need to get to the bottom of the most asked question of every Ramones fan that has yet to be answered. This show is a good time and we hear so many rad stories. You’re gonna dig it. Go buy all their records.

We are late but who cares, really? This week’s show is the Vinyl Nerdery Round-Up for April where we experienced not only the Super Bowl of record nerdery aka RECORD STORE DAY, but the one and only Michele with one L went and bought herself a turntable and has joined us on the darkside! It’s a great day and a time to celebrate. And celebrate is something we do with talk about records and food. Yeah, food! Why? I dunno but we went there. But most importantly, record talk and we hear Michele freak out over the price of JUDGE records. It’s a fun time!

We are back again to talk about our records for March in our Vinyl Nerdery round-up. Not only that but our good friend Stefan joins us to talk about Detroit rock n roll and photographing some of the greats including The White Stripes, Scott Morgan, Ron Asheton and the Hellacopters. It’s pretty awesome stuff as he was right there photographing these bands and documenting their performances. He also tells us more info about those discovered MC5 photos! Also, where’s Deniz Tek? Oh he’s just in the crowd watching the MC5 as talked about on this episode. There’s so much here and it’s pretty nerdy. If you like records or you like Detroit rock n roll, this will appeal to you.

This week’s show features an interview with drummer Rosie Gonce from garage punk power pop rockers and Fat Wreck Chords recording artists, toyGuitar. Rosie talks all about discovering punk rock, getting started with the band, signing to Fat Wreck, touring Japan, playing DIY punk houses, and most importantly, being diagnosed with and dealing with Crohn’s disease. It’s an interesting and fun chat with a gal who is as sweet as the harmonies found on toyGuitar’s records. You’ll dig it and if you don’t know the music of toyGuitar, this episode will make you an instant fan. Listen now by clicking on THIS LINK.
