In keeping with my attempt at interviewing every single band that I grew up listening to, this episode’s special guest is singer / songwriter Phil Rose, most known for being the vocalist of legendary Australian acts such as Nursery Crimes, Shreen, Sodaracer, Terrorise and Slush Puppies. And when he isn’t fronting his own bands he’s busy co-writing some of Bodyjar‘s biggest hits. We talk all about his career in music, his approach to songwriting, working with legends, playing with legends, and the thrill of seeing songs you have written and contributed to go on to score a gold record. It’s a pretty awesome chat and I hope you all love it. You can listen in right now by clicking on THIS LINK. Episode 86

This week’s episode features a chat / interview Damo did at this year’s Punk Rock Bowling festival in Las Vegas with none other than guitarist Stephen Egerton (Descendents / ALL / Flag), with a special guest appearance by bassist Karl Alvarez (Descendents / ALL). This is one great interview and covers a whole variety of topics from the guitar styles of Greg Ginn to 80s hair metal to a very interesting story about our very own AC/DC. This is a definite must hear for any fans of the Descendents or for anyone who just enjoys punk rock in general. I am very pleased to have been given this opportunity and I thank you all for the support you have shown the show so far. Don’t forget you can subscribe to the show on the left or you can listen right now by clicking on THIS LINK. (more…)

This week’s interview is a fun chat with Millencolin bassist and singer, Nikola Sarcevic, as we talk about such things as the key to staying together as a band for over 20 years with the same line-up, broken bones on tour, sharing the stage with a living legend, and how Refused played a bigger part in the Swedish music scene than one would believe. There’s tour stories and the whole kit and kaboodle and whether you’re a fan of Millencolin, or they’re unknown to your ears, you can listen in right now by clicking on THIS LINK. (more…)
