Episode 107

This week’s show features an interview with none other than Tad Doyle from Seattle rockers, TAD. With the Sub Pop reissues being released tomorrow, Damo felt it was the right time to get Tad on the show to talk about the band’s history and the controversy surrounding the album covers that landed the band with serious law suits. You’ll hear it all straight from the man himself so all those myths and stories you have heard in the past can all be finally put to rest. This interview rules and Tad is one of the nicest guys around. Also, check out his new band, Brothers of the Sonic Cloth. Links below. In the meantime, you can listen to the show right now by clicking on THIS LINK.

All music by TAD.

Episode 105

This week’s show features an interview with Alex Skolnick from Bay Area thrashers, Testament. For me, Testament are easily one of the best bands of the genre and I am stoked Alex came on the show and chatted about learning from Joe Satriani, moving to New York City, his love of jazz music and how it works with Testament, and so much more. If Testament are a band you dig, if guitar nerdery is your jam, then this interview will appeal to you. Heaps good! Having been involved with zine culture for over 25 years, someone, somewhere thought that LGL’s Damo was experienced enough to be part of Melbourne Music Week’s panel on zine culture, Zine Scene.

Along with fellow zine mercenaries such as Richard Watts from Burning Times zine, Laura MacFarlane from Woozy, and Matt Ryan from Munster Times, these independent publishers will be delivering the goods, Judas Priest style, at what will be an awesome event on all things Zines! Heaps rad!

Tickets are limited and can be obtained from the website below.

Bad Cop Bad Cop

We have been playing them solidly on the show this past year and so it was inevitable that, Stacey Dee, guitarist and vocalist from Californian punk rockers, Bad Cop Bad Cop, joined the show. It’s 90 minutes of radness and Stacey talks about everything from the band forming to song writing and recording albums to battling drug addiction and coming out a winner. All of this and more is right here, right now on the latest episode of the Long Gone Loser Rock Show. This band rules and they have just started a six week tour across the USA with The Interrupters so if they pass through your city, get out and go see them cos they’re freakin’ awesome! In the meantime, you can listen to the show right now by clicking on THIS LINK!

All songs by Bad Cop Bad Cop, obviously.
