In keeping with my attempt at interviewing every single band that I grew up listening to, this episode’s special guest is singer / songwriter Phil Rose, most known for being the vocalist of legendary Australian acts such as Nursery Crimes, Shreen, Sodaracer, Terrorise and Slush Puppies. And when he isn’t fronting his own bands he’s busy co-writing some of Bodyjar‘s biggest hits. We talk all about his career in music, his approach to songwriting, working with legends, playing with legends, and the thrill of seeing songs you have written and contributed to go on to score a gold record. It’s a pretty awesome chat and I hope you all love it. You can listen in right now by clicking on THIS LINK. 1. Good interview. More Shreen and Soda-Racer woulda been nice and Where’s Godfrey Carson, Marked by Time? Love those songs!

    • Just to correct Phil here. Shreen actually played with Blink 182 in Sydney. Maybe Soda-Racer did as well but it’d seem like a strange coincidence.

There’s so many great songs. I couldn’t play everything unfortunately. Would have been nice to play everything but time says no, unfortunately. Thanks for listening though. Appreciate it.

      • Scott MacArthur says:

I’ve actually got a demo of a band I was in with Dave and Phil called Minus that we recorded at Birdland also some Shreen stuff you may not have if you’re interested?
